The Specialty System
Property & Casualty Policy Software Customizable Components
Casualty Information System
Many features and functions of the Specialty System are customized for each
client by completing or changing information in tables that support each of
the major components. Table entries in the Casualty Information System (CIS)
are made online and in real time.
Parameters controlled through CIS table entries include:
- Valid limits and deductibles per coverage
- Billing rules and timing for invoices and collections
- Security options to authorize access and functionality per user
- Agent Master information to grant licensing authority, cancel or transfer
a book of business, and control commission rates
- Reinsurance table entries define the client's quota-share treaties
NotePad
NotePad functions can be requested from any screen to create and record information
such as form letters, diary, free-format letters, and notes. The information
is attached to a policy or claim and is accessible to authorized users. Users
are notified when diaried items become due. Diary dates are established automatically
for some claims transactions.
Client Data Base
The Client Data Base provides a central repository for all policies, quotes,
and claims related to a client. All policies and quotes for a named insured
can be entered and accessed using one Client ID number. Information that is
common to all policies is entered once in Client Data Base records and subsequently
accessed for all policies. Additional named insureds can be associated with
a single Client ID number. Multiple clients can be cross-referenced to each
other.
CIS is one of the standard options included in your Specialty System installation.
Other standard options include Policy Administration,
Claims Management, Statistical
Reporting, Executive Intelligence.
You can also enhance the Specialty System with optional components for Data
Joining, Business Rules, and web-based
integration with Tech21.
